Hotkey System

General Information

The Hotkey Reduction System adjusts the effectiveness of healing and offensive actions performed via hotkeys during PvP combat. Its purpose is to ensure fair and balanced fights while keeping PvE gameplay fully unaffected. Reductions normally apply only when interacting with other players and are not applied when using hotkeys on party members or guild members. However, if the player already has an active Hotkey Reduction condition, its effects apply universally — including on party and guild members. Short demo video: Hotkey System.

How the Reduction Is Applied

When a player becomes the aggressor (initiates an attack), the reduction is applied to them immediately. The victim receives a warning along with an 8-second countdown, after which the reduction activates.

  • Aggressor reduction duration: 60 seconds
  • Victim reduction duration: 20 seconds

Reduction timers are refreshed only when receiving damage from an enemy player. Taking damage from monsters does not extend the duration — the reduction simply expires if no further PvP damage is received.

While the reduction is active, a dedicated icon appears in the condition bar beneath the equipment panel.

Effect of Hotkey Reductions

Healing runes and potions used on yourself via hotkeys have their effect reduced by 35%. Offensive runes used against other players deal 40% less damage. Damage against monsters always remains 100%, and manually using any rune or potion preserves full power.

Utility runes such as Magic Wall, Wild Growth, Destroy Field or Chameleon are not affected by the system. The Paralyze Rune, when used through hotkeys, consumes an additional +400 mana.

Extra Information

Whenever a reduction is applied, the client displays contextual information such as (healing: -35%), (damage: -40%), (lowered: -35%), or (mana cost: X) in the case of the Paralyze Rune.
